Celebrities Speak Out Against KFC

Alice Walker, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Color Purple, spoke out for the more than 850 million chickens abused and killed by KFC each year by writing a poem in support of PETA’s campaign—a Mother’s Day plea to David Novak, the CEO of KFC’s parent company, Yum! Brands. Walker’s poem was later turned into a PETA advertisement.
